E.ON Corporate Learning Centre in Moscow celebrates first anniversary

E.ON Corporate Learning Centre in Moscow celebrates its first birthday. During this year the Corporate Learning Centre has developed and implemented training programmes for the Russian employees fostering integration process.

"E.ON places high value on the professional development of it's employees. That is why I am so glad to see the great progress made by the E.ON Corporate Learning Centre in the first year of it's existence. The continued integration of OGK-4 into E.ON is being driven by the corporate governance knowledge and skill of the top managers at our Russian power plants, as well as the sharing of experience when it comes to implementing E.ON international standards", said Lutz Feldmann, member of E.ON Management Board.

E.ON Corporate Learning Centre in Moscow was opened by E.ON Academy in September 2008 and became the first of its kind outside of Germany.

The Centre offers a variety of leadership development programs in business administration, human resources management as well as professional knowledge in the energy industry and problem solving.

In November 2008 a course for the directors of the OGK-4 branches on personal and leadership development was launched. And in April 2009 a large-scale intensive learning course "The basics of business" aimed at OGK-4 employees began. The course was developed in cooperation with the School of Business of the Moscow State University and Berlin-based European School of Management and Technology. This five-module course will finish in 2010. 27 specialists take part in the program.

The E.ON Corporate Learning Centre in Moscow also developed a multi-level study English course for those employees who wish to study the corporate language of the Group.

In May 2009 Corporate Learning Centre supplied OGK-4 stations with English language multimedia self-study kits. OGK-4 employees can get books and recordings for free and after finishing self-study course they can test their knowledge and assess progress they have achieved.
