E.ON España

E.ON España manages our activities in the Spanish peninsula. The new company was founded in June 2008 in the course of taking over the power company Viesgo and other Spanish generation capacities. E.ON España has generation capacities of around 2,510 MW. New build projects already underway will increase this capacity to create a balanced energy mix with around 4,500 MW by 2010. E.ON has a market share well above 10 percent, making it Spain’s number four in the generation market. With about 580,000 customers, E.ON also maintains a significant position in the Spanish distribution business.
